Nach einer langen Corona-Zeit wird es endlich wieder Zeit für einen Groove Cooking-Workshop! Die Groove Cooking Workshopreihe im Kion Dojo Hamburg unter Leitung von Ingmar Kikat zieht seit 2016 Taiko-Spieler aus Deutschland und Europa zu einem 3-tägigen Taiko-Erlebnis in Hamburg an.

Diesmal ist alles ein bisschen anders, aber auch nur ein bisschen. Die Teilnehmerzahl ist stärker eingeschränkt und wir achten darauf Abstand zu wahren und Masken zu tragen wenn es zu eng wird. Bei großem Interesse am Workshop ziehen wir auch noch den Umzug des Workshops in eine größere Location innerhalb Hamburgs in Erwägung.

Im Falle von nicht vorhersehbaren Einschränkungen durch Corona bieten wir euch außerdem diesmal eine 100%-ige Rückerstattung der Teilnahmegebühr an, wenn ihr bis spätestens 1 Tag vor Workshopbeginn absagt oder falls wir selbst den Workshop canceln müssen. Nur das Risiko von Reise- und Übernachtungsbuchungen müsst ihr selbst tragen.

Inhaltlich erwartet euch eine bewährte Groove Cooking-Mischung aus Basics und Techniken für Körpergefühl, Musik- und Grooveverständnis, Polyrhythmen, sowie einigen Ideen für zusammengesetzte Grooves, die der Anfang für ein Taiko-Stück im Kion-Stil sein können. Der Schwerpunkt dieses Workshops ist aber kein kopflastiges „Stücke Pauken“, sondern das gemeinsame Erleben und Erforschen von Rhythmus und Groove im Taiko-Kontext! Der einzige Virus den wir an diesem Wochenende weitergeben wollen, ist der schon lange bekannte, aber noch zu wenig beachtete „Groovirus“ 😉!

Teilnehmer: Alle, die offen für ein "anderes" Taiko sind und ab 1-2 Jahre Erfahrung im Trommeln mitbringen. Auch für fortgeschrittene Trommler gibt es in diesem Workshop interessante Herausforderungen.

After a long time with Corona related restrictions it is time for another Groove Cooking workshop! The Groove Cooking workshops in Kion Dojo, lead by Ingmar Kikat, have attracted taiko players from Germany and Europe since 2016 to a 3-day taiko experience.

This time everything will be a bit different, but not too much. The number of participants is restricted and we will pay attention to keeping physical distance and wearing masks if we get closer. If the workshop appears to attract large interest, we will consider moving it to a larger space.

In the case of non-predictable restrictions through Corona, we offer you a 100% refund, if you cancel until at least one day in advance. The same applies if we have to cancel the workshop from our side. The only risk you take are your travel and accommodation arrangements.

The workshop will focus on an established mixture of basics and techniques for feeling your body, the music and the groove, polyrhythms as well as some ideas for connected patterns, that could turn into a piece in Kion style later. The main focus of this workshop is not a learning a piece, it’s rather experiencing and exploring rhythm and groove in the context of taiko together. The only virus we plan to pass on on this weekend is the long known, but still underrepresented „Groovirus“ 😉!

Participants: Anybody who is open towards a "different" kind of taiko and who has 1-2 years of experience in drumming. Also more experienced drummers will find interesting challenges in this workshop!
