🇩🇪 Mit dieser Vorankündigung möchten wir dir 3 Workshops mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten vorstellen und Interessenten sammeln. Nachdem wir eure Rückmeldungen bekommen haben, werden wir anhand der Rückmeldungen einen Workshop konkret planen und ankündigen.
- Workshop 1: Let's be creative! -> Ein Workshop in dem wir in mehreren Teams gemeinsam Taiko-Stücke schreiben und präsentieren
- Workshop 2: ELEVEN -> Ein Workshop, in dem wir das Stück ELEVEN von Kaoly Asano (Gocoo), dass sie in ihrem Workshop bei KionSai 2018 unterrichtet hat fortführen und vertiefen
- Workshop 3: Jump into the groove -> Ein Workshop, in dem es nicht um das Lernen eines bestimmten Stücks geht, sondern um entspannte Trommeltechnik, Improvisation, Sessions und Austausch.

Nun zu den Details! Im folgenden siehst du eine Beschreibung der 3 Workshops:
Workshop 1: Let's be creative!
Im Gegensatz zu „normalen“ Workshops wird es in diesem Workshop weniger darum gehen, eine bestimmtes Stück oder bestimmte Techniken zu lernen, sondern um gemeinschaftliche Kreativität. Möglicherweise entstehen in diesem Workshop Stücke, die als neue Community-Stücke von mehreren Gruppen weitergespielt werden können! Das wäre kein festes Ziel, aber eine Möglichkeit!
Wir werden uns in diesem Workshop in kleinere Teams aufteilen, die gemeinsam ein Stück erarbeiten. Die Stücke werden am letzten Workshoptag den anderen Teams präsentiert.
Ein Taiko-Stück schreiben oder „komponieren“? Das ist doch nur etwas für professionelle Taiko-Künstler! Nein! Jeder kann etwas! Es geht nicht darum, sich mit einem Notenblatt hinzusetzen und plötzlich „kreativ“ zu sein. Zum gemeinschaftlichen Schreiben eines Stücks gibt es viel bessere Ansätze. Die folgenden Dinge können beim Schreiben eines Stücks hilfreich sein:
- Improvisation, („Session“, „Jammen“), in der Gruppe oder alleine führt zu ersten Ansätzen und Bausteinen eines Stücks
- bei Null anzufangen ist schwierig! Stattdessen benutzen wir bekannte bzw. vorgegebene Rhythmusbausteine und setzen sie zu einem Stück zusammen
- ein bestimmtes Bild, ein Thema oder eine Aussage, die man mit einem Stück zum Ausdruck bringen möchte
Teilnehmer: Teilnehmer mit wenigstens ein paar Jahren Erfahrung im Taiko, damit ein paar rhythmische und Taiko-technische Grundlagen gegeben sind. Auch Leiter von Gruppen und fortgeschrittene Spieler sind sehr willkommen, dies ist aber keine Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme.
Workshop 2: ELEVEN
Bei KionSai 2018 unterrichte Kaoly Asano zum ersten Mal das neue Community-Stück ELEVEN, ein Stück mit einem besonderen und wichtigen Hintergrund, über das Kaoly eine Message an alle, die ELEVEN lernen möchten verfasst hat.
In diesem Workshop würden wir den Inhalt des KionSai-Workshops wiederholen und fortführen, so dass wir größere Abschnitte des Stücks zusammensetzen werden.
Für fortgeschrittene Spieler gibt es ausserdem die Möglichkeit, zusätzlich zum Thema-Part des Stücks den schnellen Rhythm-Part kennenzulernen.
Dieser Workshop wird sich nicht ausschließlich um ELEVEN drehen, zusätzlich gibt es auch einige Taiko-Basics-Übungen und Sessions!
Teilnehmer: Durch die zwei unterschiedlich schwierigen Parts, eignet sich ELEVEN sowohl für relative Einsteiger, als auch für fortgeschrittene Spieler mit vielen Jahren Erfahrung. Empfohlen wird aber mindestens 1 Jahr Taiko-Erfahrung.
Workshop 3: Jump into the groove
In diesem Workshop gibt es kein Stück zum "Mit nach Hause nehmen". Stattdessen ist der Fokus des Workshops "Groove Taiko", also Basics-Übungen im Kion-Trommelstil, mit seinem lockeren und körpergerechten Bewegungen, die nicht nur mehr Ausdauer und Spaß beim Trommeln ermöglichen können, sondern auch einen anderen Klang und Ausdruck an der Taiko zur Folge haben!
Es handelt sich aber hierbei nicht um einen reinen "Technik-Workshop", sondern das Gefühl mit dem frau/man trommelt, spielt eine genauso wichtige Rolle! Ebenso wollen wir uns mit der Interaktion der Trommler untereinander beschäftigen.
Außerdem mit dabei: Improvisation, Sessions, kleine Performances...

- Workshop 1: Let's be creative! -> A workshop in which we will collaborate in writing and presenting taiko pieces
- Workshop 2: ELEVEN -> A workshop with ELEVEN, a piece by Kaoly Asano (Gocoo), which she taught in her workshop at KionSai 2018
- Workshop 3: Jump into the groove -> A workshop without any specific piece, but a workshop about relaxed taiko technique, improvisation, sessions and exchange.

Now let's dive into the details! Here is a description of the 3 workshops:
Workshop 1: Let's be creative!
In contrast to "normal" workshops, this workshop is not about learning a specific piece or technique, it is rather about collaborative creativity! Maybe the pieces that will be created in this workshop could turn into new community pieces that can be continued in several groups. This is not a goal of this workshop, rather a possibility!
In this workshop we will split up in smaller teams, that will work on a piece. On the last day of the workshop, the pieces will be presented to the other teams.
Writing or even "composing" a taiko piece? Isn't this something that should be done only by professional artists? No, definitely not! Everybody can do something! It's not about sitting down with a sheet of paper and being "creative" right away. There are much better ways to collaborate in writing a piece. Here are a few things that can be helpful:
- improvisation, in a group or by yourself, can bring up patterns and grooves that can be turned into the beginnings a piece
- starting from scratch can be very difficult! Instead we can use already known elements or "rhythm building bricks" and combine these into a piece
- a certain image, a topic or a message, that you want to express with a piece
Participants: Everyone with at least a few years of taiko experience, for some rhythmic and technical basics. Also leaders of taiko groups and more advanced taiko players are welcome, although this is not necessary to take part.
Possible workshop plan
Workshop 2: ELEVEN
At KionSai 2018 Kaoly Asano taught the new community piece ELEVEN for the first time. ELEVEN is a piece with a special and important background, about which Kaoly has written a message to everybody who wants to learn the piece.
In this workshop we would repeat and continue the contents of the KionSai workshop, so we will be able to combine the elements to a larger section of the piece.
For more experienced players there is a opportunity to learn the faster "rhythm part" of the piece.
This workshop won't be about ELEVEN exclusively, but it will also incorporate some basic taiko drills and jam sessions!
Participants: Because of the two parts with varying difficulty, ELEVEN is suited for relative beginners as well as advanced players with many years of experience. We recommend at least 1 year of taiko experience.
Workshop 3: Jump into the groove
In this workshop there won't be a piece "to take back home". Instead, the focus of this workshop is "groove taiko". This means taiko drills about the "Kion style", with it's relaxed technique and "body friendly" movements. This can not only result in more endurance and fun while playing the taiko, but also in a different sound and expression!
This is not a workshop just about "technique", but also about the feeling related to playing the drum. We will also look at the interaction between drummers.
Also in this workshop: Improvisation, jam sessions, small performances...
